Air cooling, which offers a comfortable cooling sensation on the area that’s being treated, or cryogen
cooling (DCD), which will spray a burst of cooling gas onto the area that’s being treated almost simultaneously with the delivery of the laser pulse.

Laser energy is delivered through a handpiece operated by your practitioner. The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the hair follicle/pigmented lesion or vascular lesion and converted to heat. The heat damages the targeted hair follicle or lesion, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected.
Generally, the cooling options allow for the treatments to be comfortable. Pigmented lesion and vascular treatments can be described as a light rubber band feeling on the skin.
Avoid sun exposure at least two weeks before treatment. For hair removal, do not bleach, pluck or wax 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatment. Wait for tanned skin to fade before beginning any laser treatment. Please discuss contraindications and medication with your practitioner.
Treatment times may vary depending on your specific needs. Pigmented lesion and vascular lesion treatments highly depend on the quantity of lesions you are wanting to address. Hair growth is reduced after each treatment and the number of treatments required will be based on your hair color and type, the body area and skin tone.
